As the sun dips below the horizon, casting long, eerie shadows across the tracks, the Sip & Scare Sunset Special sets off on its 60-minute spine chilling journey through the Campo backcountry. The air is filled with the haunting jams, while passengers sip on a complimentary crafted cocktail from our undead bartenders.
Darkness envelops the landscape as the ghost train comes to a screeching halt. Prepare to confront the ultimate terror: The Lost Train of Dr. Deadtrack! Step into the early 1900s, where the experimental transit car, San Diego & Arizona 666, mysteriously vanished while en route to a top-secret research facility in the desert. Onboard, scientists and military officers were tasked with testing a new weapon developed by the eccentric Dr. Alistair Deadtrack, a genius turned mad by his obsession with electricity. Rumors swirl that the train reappears on moonless nights, just like this one, trapped in a time loop, with ghostly passengers reliving their final hours. You’re about to board the cursed train, but once it starts moving, there’s no getting off…unless you survive until the end!
This spooky adventure departs from the Campo Depot located at 750 Depot St., Campo, CA 91906, every Saturday night at 6pm in October!
Seating Choices and Fares for 2025
Classic Coach
Passengers riding in Coach Class enjoy the Sip & Scare from one of our restored 1920s vintage commuter cars. These seats are most numerous and lowest priced, but still offer an amazing experience on your Halloween adventure! A complimentary cocktail or mocktail and one entrance to the Lost Train are included in the ticket price. Additional beverages are available for purchase.
Adults 21+: $49.95
First Class
Those looking for a premium travel experience may want to consider purchasing First Class train tickets on our Santa Fe lounge car #1509. SF #1509 offers a complimentary snack bar with attendant, parlor or dining-style seating, and a premium atmosphere. Those riding in Santa Fe lounge car #1509 may also step out onto the open air platform as the Sip & Scare creeps its way through the countryside. A complimentary cocktail or mocktail and one entry to the Lost Train are included in the ticket price. Additional alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
